SuperSci Team Participates in Science Education Webinar Series

On August 3rd SuperSci team member, Catalina Henao had the opportunity to collaborate with Santiago Castellanos of Siempre Educación (https://siempreeducacion.com/) on the first in a series of webinars. These Spanish language webinars are centered around the state of science education in Latin America.

Many topics were discussed such as curriculum integration, the inclusion of science topics in other courses, strengthening science education, pushing for science inclusion via public policy, and other timely topics.

While it was the first of the series and while there were a few first-time issues, the webinar was a great success. With many attendees participating live and submitting questions the event flowed wonderfully and had a great level of audience participation. The post-event feedback has been resoundingly positive and the recording continues to be viewed daily.

If you didn’t have the opportunity to view the event live you can catch it now on youtube.

The next event in the series will include Patricia Salazar, the Vice Chancellor University of Caldas along with Catalina and Santiago. This event will focus on 21st-century education with STEAM methodology.

The webinar is scheduled for August 25th @ 8 pm EST. We hope you can join us and participate live with the panelists.

In the near future, our own James Bonilla will participate in the 3rd webinar in the series.

Wednesday, 14th September 8:00 pm EST.
